“It feels medieval,” White said. “It feels so great, man.”

It took a frontside big air, front- and backside 1080s, and, as if that wasnt crazy enough – a frontside 1260 at the bottom of the pipe. That combination was good enough to score Shaun a 96.66 and a Gold Medal.

"Shaun was in the slope Saturday and had a traumatic day with a broken board. He was emotionally and physically taxed. He was trying to compete at the highest level and he was successful," U.S. Halfpipe Head Coach Mike Jankowski. "He came in tonight and he was tired, but we kept him pumped up and he rode at the highest level. He's the best in the world."

Shaun recently signed a 10 year deal with burton snowboards (the longest agreement in the sport of snowboarding).
