NLA: How did you get into Sprint Cars?

Guy: When I was younger I always wanted to get into a go kart or something but my family could never afford it. When I was about 10 my dad and I started going out to Ventura to watch a friend of his race sprint cars. After about a year of watching my dad decided he wanted a car of his own. After 4 years of helping my dad build and maintain his car he put me in the car for my sixteenth birthday.

NLA: Who was your hero growing up?

Guy: My hero growing up would have to be my dad.Everything he has ever achieved he has had to work for and nothing came easy. He sets goals and accomplishes them.

NLA: What series are you racing?

Guy: I primarily compete in VRA, Ventura Racing Association, at Ventura Raceway and the Bandit VRA Grand Slam Series which races in Hanford, Bakersfield, Santa Maria, and Ventura. A primary goal for 2008 is to run with the USAC/CRA series which is a regional series for the west coast.

NLA: How did NLA become a part of your racing program?

Guy: NLA became a part of my program when i started racing at running go karts at the local track, MB2 Raceway. I met Jason and Paul and started discussing my racing with them and they asked me if I would be interested in running NLA on my car.

NLA: how is your program coming along right now?

Guy: Right now we are building off the momentum from last year.  We had several top 5 and 10 finishes and were recognized as a team that is going to come on strong in 2008. We currently have one car complete in the shop and are working on a second.

NLA: What are your goals for the 2008 Season?

Guy: The number one goal for 2008 is to break out and get my first win. Racing with USAC and making one of there shows is also a goal I would like to accomplish.

NLA: Whats your favorite part of sprint racing?

Guy: Sliding side by side with 20 other cars on a small 1/4 oval and trying to pass, if one guy messes up you could end up on your head.

Guy, We at NLA wish you the best of luck, and we'll definitely be cheering you on!
