This morning at Indiannapolis Motor Speedway, Nicky Hayden rode a 1909 Indian Racer around IMS. Setting the lap record as approxamately 5 minutes. This was later backed up by a much faster lap record, aboard a CBR 1000RR painted in Red Bull USGP colors.
Nicky, speaking of his experience on the 1909 Racer said: "It Felt like 100MPH, the thing was vibrating so bad." In all actuality nicky was probably going as fast as 45mph.
He later mentioned that the GP teams need to bring their A Game to the track, noting that the GP Bikes will definitely be going 200mph.
"Turn one might be a little sketchy, because that where some of the passing will be done and because it's so fast," Hayden said.
Nicky also had his personal RC211v shipped out for the event, but it was only used for photo purposes.
