Showdown in Texas! Supercross and NASCAR Results from Texas.
Carl Edwards brought his best to Texas this weekend, and for the third time
this season had a dominating performance over the competitors in the Cup Series.
Edwards led 123 Laps and finished .399 ahead of series leader Kyle
Busch.
The tires were just slippery enough that the car was
fun to drive," said Edwards.
The race was one of the first
races since September 2006 where there was only 1 Hendrick car on the lead lap.
To note, Michael McDowell had one of the worst crashes
we've seen with the "car of the future". It involved the car catching on fire,
after hitting the wall, where it began to flip multiple times. He was able to
walk away from the crash. (video below)

Supercross:
The Supercross main
event had Tim Ferry blasting his Monster Energy Kawasaki to a great start, only
to be passed by team mate Travis Preston for the holeshot. Closely in tow, were
the Yamaha Riders Chad Reed and Josh Hill, who jumped past Ferry in the firsty
rhythm section. Half way through the first lap, Chad reed was on the prowl for
Preston, having already passed Hill. Chad made that pass happen after the first
lap. Reed then ran away with the lead, with a three way battle for second
between Millsaps, Hill, and Windham. This battle ensued till the end of the
race, where the final results are as follows:
