The lites class saw rookie Trey Canard step up to take the crown away from Villopoto. Superbike
The AMA Superbike class had Mat Mladin dominating both of his races. An uncharacteristic lowside from Ben Spies opened up second position to Jason DiSalvo, who finished second. It was DiSalvo's, and Yamaha's best career finish in the Superbike Class. Tommy Hayden saved 3rd, with a horrible start leaving him in 8th place by the end of lap 1.
Race two saw Mladin take his second win of the weekend. Spies 2nd and Hayden 3rd for an all suzuki podium. So far, it has been a perfect season for Mladin, having taken all possible points for wins and pole positions. Mladin, though, described the weekend as being "100% boring" without being able to battle with his team mate Spies.
Also to note, Roger Hayden had a violent crash during some of the earlier sessions of the day, which may have included season ending injuries including a cracked pelvis. No reports have been confirmed as of this posting.

This looks like the class to watch this season with consistent close racing between Yamaha team mates Josh Herrin and Ben Bostrom. Herrin lead the race from the beginning, with Bostrom taking over near the mid way point. In a daring last lap pass around lapped traffic, Herrin made an aggressive pass to the inside which paid off, and in the end left him at the top of the podium. Though both riders have 1 win each, Bostrom leads the championship thanks to Pole Position Points.

NASCAR
Nascar headed south of the border this weekend to Mexico City for some road course racing. Kyle Busch continued to improve his awesome season with a win. Many teams brought out "road course specialists" only to be beaten by Busch, who has raced in every race so far this season. This was his third win in a row for this season. He battled Pruett for a while, but Kyle was clearly faster, and after a little bit of friendly nudging (and a claim over the radio that he'd take Pruett out if he didnt get out of the way), Pruett smoked the tires and let Kyle by, to avoid the same fate he had last season when he was taken out of the same race.
