Big news from both series! Mladin Lashes out about changes, and a new championship leader for MotoGP

Race results - MotoGP and AMA Superbike
This weekend, the AMA Superbike series hit Sonoma's Infineon Raceway. The superbike races were won by Ben Spies. He was simply uncontested all weekend by usual rival and team mate Mat Mladin. The superbike race did see a battle further back in the pack, most notably Jamie Hackings push to the front. The factory Yamaha's, much like last season, looked strong at first but could not maintain their pace for the entire race.

Formula Xtreme

The FX race saw an epic battle between team mates Josh Hayes and Jake Zemke. The heat was on the entire race, with the gap between the two averaging about .210. The race remained close, and it was anybodys guess who had the win until the final corner, where Josh Hayes tried to make a gutsy pass around Zemke. Zemke's experience showed through though, and he held Hayes off with a margin of victory of only .066.

Supersport

Ben Bostrom continued his dominant season with a win of over 3 seconds. Danny Eslick found the speed he seemed to have lost, and had won a hard fought 3rd place. Josh Hayes string of bad luck seems to have continued, qualifying 11th he fought his way to a 5th place. Notably, Cory West has seemed to grown more comfortable with his new team, finishing with a 4th in the FX race and a 7th in the Supersport race.

MotoGP

Valentino Rossi was in true form this weekend, with a dominant performance over Dani Pedrosa, who before the race was the championship leader. Rossi now leads the championship by only a few points. Pedrosa is tied with Lorenzo for second. The big story of the weekend though, was the fact that Jorge Lorenzo who was as far back as 9th in the beginning laps of the race, fought his way through the pack to finish 2nd with some very serious injuries to both feet and legs.
