James Stewart started the season out with its first holeshot. Josh Grant followed closely in second, but Chad Reed wasnt going to sit back and wait, a battle almost instantly began. There was no love lost between the two, with Reed tripling while Stewart doubled. The tight racing continued giving the fans what they came to see, but unfortunately it got a little too tight, and the two contacted. With both being thrown off their bikes, Reed rejoined the race, and unfortunately Stewarts bike would not start back up, and he was forced to do a premature walk of shame.

Josh Grant was riding to win it though, taking, and maintaining his lead. With a banner stuck in his rear wheel he rode with no fear, hitting triples not knowing if the banner was going to lock the rear wheel at any time.

So thats the season opener. We're definitely going to see some amazing racing this season. Stay tuned to NLALive for your season long updates!
