Making waves in the international scene, Ben Spies, on his second race weekend with the Factory Yamaha WSBK squad had the perfect weekend, winning both races from pole position.
Ben Spies does the Doha Double in Qatar!
He's now three for four in races entered this season, winning race 2 at phillip island in the last event.
In classic spies fashion, he did not get a good start in race one, and had to use alternative techniques to find the front. Conserving his tires from 5th place, he sat back and observed waiting to make his move in the second half of the race. When Jakub Smrz started losing the pace, spies made his move and began the battle for the front, eventually taking the race win.
